ABOUT ME

From my infancy I’ve been fascinated by music. From the age of 4 I listened to a vast variety of records on my little mono record player. All these different musical styles formed my particular musical taste and feeling. Age 12 I started playing the guitar and at 15 I already formed my first group, a rock ’n roll band called “The Jailbirds”. Soon I became a lead singer. I attended the Conservatory of Amsterdam and studied vocals piano and compositon. Since that time I have been playing numerous gigs and projects in various groups in different settings and countries with Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, Finland, Belgium and Germany among them. At this stage ofmy career I am a singer songwriter, composing, singing and playing my own songs on guitar and piano. I record my own music which is available on ITunes. The gallery of this website can provide you with more information about my current music and that ofmy past projects. I am available to play concerts in any kind of style, in any kind of formation, on all kinds of occasions.

Early in my musical career I started to write my own songs. I studied composition at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. I have been associated with EMI Music and Record Company for many years as a songwriter and lyricists. This resulted in many interesting records. One of my favourite examples is the single “Save My Soul/Calendar Girl” recorded by the group “Superglue”. I have a vast catalogue of songs in stock and I am available to write music and songs in any style about any topic for commercial and non commercial use.

There has always been a teacher in me. It is fascinating to share my knowledge with anyone who is interested. At a very early stage in my career I started teaching music. I have been teaching various instruments at different musical institutes before I founded my own music school “Ed Venture Music”. I teach vocals, guitar ( classical/acoustic/electric ) electric bass, piano, keyboard, organ, composing, songwriting, music production and I prepare people to attend the conservatory.
